This is not surprising since Nobuo Uematsu is not the mastermind behind the music. According to Wikipedia he will, instead, be working on Final Fantasy XIV, which is apparently going to be an MMO. That is disappointing but one of the things I dislike about World of Warcraft is the lack of diverse and catchy music. It's too ambient and there isn't enough of it so hopefully Nobuo can do a good job there at least.
In FF13, you have a party leader and that is the person you control the most, at least so far (though I am still running into battle tutorials as I progress). It is faster and, in places, more fun, but definitely different. I haven't decided if I like it more than the old way, though I knew this feature was going to be controversial.
Not that I really care, but they did this late in the development of FF13 and it caused it to take quite a while to be released to anyone. 360 or otherwise. For the lengthy of the delay, FF13 better live up to the hype. So far it feels a lot like FF10, which, though I haven't finished it yet myself, apparently had a really crappy ending. Hopefully Square didn't do that again.
